  • 2 inch x 2 mm Baader UV/IR-Cut (420 - 685 nm) bandpass filter with 2 inch (M48) screw-in thread
  • Reflects harmful thermal radiation in the infrared spectral range
  • Provides 98% transmission over the entire visible spectrum from 420 - 685 nm
  • Prevents blurred star imaging in red-sensitive digital and CCD/CMOS cameras
  • Suitable from f/15 to f/1.8

The new generation of CMOS-optimized Baader filters features:
- increased contrast, matched to typical CMOS quantum efficiency and s/n ratio
- Reflex-Blocker™ coatings, for highest possible insensitivity to retro-reflection from nearest auxiliary optics, even under most adverse conditions
- identical filter thickness to existing standards, with utmost care regarding homofocality
- blackened edges all around, with filter-front indicator in the form of a telescope-side black outer edge, to additionally avoid any reflection from light falling on the filter edge
- each filter is individually fine-optically polished and coated, with sealed coating edge (NOT cut out of a larger plate - with thus exposed coating edges more on this see here)
- Life-Coat™: even harder coatings to provide an aging resistant coating over an indefinite life - even in the most hostile environments

TO DIFFER CMOS / CCD FILTERS
The completely redesigned, CMOS-optimized filters work great with all existing camera technologies, be they CMOS or CCD chips.... However - those who own CCD camera technology will still be able to work excellently with our previous, extremely low-cost, CCD narrowband filters. But "the better is the enemy of the good".
